La Scuola del Vedere, libera accademia di belle arti, il cui nome si richiama alla Schule des Sehens di Oscar Kokoschka (grande maestro dell'Espressionismo ed insegnante del fondatore e primo presidente della Scuola del Vedere) nasce nel lontano 1988 a Trieste per volontà del critico d'arte, pittore e scenografo Luigi Danelutti, i cui meriti in campo artistico e culturale sono da tutti condivisi. Finalità dell'istituzione, che dalla scomparsa del suo fondatore - avvenuta nel 1995 - è diretta da Donatella Surian, sono: l'approccio, l'approfondimento e la didattica delle Arti Figurative nell'ambito di un vasto discorso volto alla divulgazione culturale in genere. Le docenze dei vari corsi, stage o laboratori sono affidate tutte ad artisti di chiara fama e/o di comprovata esperienza. Inoltre, grazie al rispetto del numero chiuso a 9 partecipanti per sessione, è possibile garantire costantemente un insegnamento personalizzato. La Scuola del Vedere si occupa anche della promozione e dell'organizzazione di mostre collettive e personali, di visite guidate a rassegne artistiche e di incontri con personalità dell'Arte e della Cultura. Su richiesta la Scuola del Vedere rilascia un Attestato di Partecipazione. _____________________________________________________________________
The "Scuola del Vedere" was founded in Trieste in 1988 by the art critic, painter and stage designer Luigi Danelutti, who studied under the great expressionist master Oskar Kokoschka in the 1960s. During his years as a student of Kokoschka, Danelutti gained the necessary psychological support from his teacher to found a Free Academy of Fine Arts in Trieste with similar features to Kokoschka’s own Schule des Sehens in Salzburg. The Austrian artist in fact became the school’s first governor. After Danelutti's death in 1995 Donatella Surian took over management of the academy, maintaining the commitment towards fostering knowledge of the arts by offering courses, laboratories and workshops and organising contemporary art exhibitions as well as meetings with figures from the world of art and culture. All teachers are well-known artists and professionals with specific skills and, thanks to the limit of 9 participants per class, one-to-one teaching is always guaranteed. The art classes currently available are: drawing and painting (oil, pastel, acrylic and watercolour), working from the basic idea to the final composition, portraits, sculpture, art history with literary, history and philosophy references, cartoons, figure painting/drawing and children’s workshops.
